Our luck with pets

I am not much of an animal lover. My child is.
From the time he was just a baby in the cradle, he is fascinated by animals.
Anything from a small ant to an elephant bring joy to his bearings. As you all know, you can easily find all sorts of animals on Indian roads. The more visible are the Cows, pigs, dogs, cats, mouses, hens, cocks, goats and horses. The less visible ones are elephants, sheeps, monkeys and camels.

Afterall, Why should i be the only one who is made to watch Animal Planet day in - day out?
My son terrorises me by not taking in a morsel of food without Animal planet.
More than often, i also end up eating my food, watching a bunch of lions tearing apart a deer!

But when it comes to taking in a living thing as a pet, me and my kid turned out to be losers!
First i kept a few plants, all of them died within a month.
Second i got my kid two gold fish, both of them died in 15 days.
Next i got 2 parrots, they both flew away in a week's time from the cage.
This year am planning to gift my kid, a Dog for his b'day.
O' this time i really hope our luck changes towards our pets!
